Long-Term Growth
(28 August 2026, Hong Kong) TIME Interconnect Technology Limited (“TIME Interconnect Technology” or the “Company”, together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”; stock code: 1729) today announced its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026 (the “Period”).
During the Period, driven by the artificial intelligence (“AI”) boom and contributions from the newly acquired copper wire business, the Group recorded revenue of HK$10,066.1 million, representing a substantial year-on-year (“YoY”) increase of 107.4%. Operating profit totalled HK$874.3 million, a YoY increase of 111.8%. Profit for the Period amounted to HK$827.8 million, a significant YoY increase of 163.9%, while net profit margin rose from 6.5% to 8.2%. Basic earnings per share were HK39.5 cents, a YoY increase of 145.3%. Taking into account the Group’s solid financial position and promising business prospects, the Board is pleased to declare an interim dividend of HK6.0 cents per share, which amounts to a total of approximately HK$134.0 million.
TIME Interconnect Technology has been included in the HKEX Tech 100 Index since 15 June 2026. The HKEX Tech 100 Index tracks the performance of the 100 largest Hong Kong-listed companies that have high exposure to key tech themes and are eligible for Southbound Stock Connect. The inclusion of the Company in the HKEX Tech 100 Index serves as a testament to the capital market’s high recognition of its technological innovation capabilities, business growth potential, financial performance, and market leadership.
Mr. Simon Cua, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the Group, said, “The Group successfully capitalised on opportunities arising from the AI boom, driving both revenue and profit to record highs and elevating overall performance. Despite the macroeconomic headwinds during the Period, the Group sought to bolster its business operations and financial position by proactively seeking potential investment opportunities that would diversify its existing business portfolio, broaden income streams and enhance shareholder value.”
Sustained AI momentum fuels strong growth in core business sectors
Riding the strong momentum of AI, related businesses served as major growth drivers for the Group. The server sector remained the Group’s largest growth engine, with revenue rising 68.3% YoY to HK$4,314.5 million and accounting for 42.9% of total revenue, as order volume increased significantly in the second quarter. As for the data centre sector, the emergence of AI has continued to drive the Group’s fibre cable assembly business, with orders reaching a record high entering the second quarter. Revenue from the sector increased 22.8% YoY to HK$1,156.3 million, and it remained the highest revenue-generating sector within the cable assembly business. During the Period, the double density MPO and multi-core fibre panel achieved mass production, resulting in higher average selling prices and profit margins. At the same time, the Group continued to expand production capacity in the PRC and Vietnam to meet rapidly growing order volumes.
AI also stimulated the growth and development of high-speed cables in the specialty cable sector, where revenue grew 19.9% YoY to HK$162.8 million. High-speed cables also achieved a better profit margin, which enhanced the Group’s overall profitability. Furthermore, benefiting from a market recovery and rising copper prices, the networking cable sector recorded revenue of HK$620.1 million, up 42.7% YoY.
Strategic acquisitions accelerate global expansion while vertical integration enhances operational resilience
The Company has successfully acquired the remaining 51% of the issued capital of Time Interconnect Singapore Pte. Ltd. (“Time Singapore”) on 31 July 2026. The Company now owns the entire issued capital of Time Singapore and Leoni Kabel GmbH (“Leoni Kabel”), which became wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Company. With Leoni Kabel and its subsidiaries’ (“Leoni LCS Group”) established presence in Europe and the Americas, this will allow the Group to immediately penetrate into these key overseas markets. Given the Leoni LCS Group’s proven track record and substantial scale, the acquisition will broaden the Group’s revenue base and have a positive impact on its overall financial performance. During the Period, the Group shared the total results of Time Singapore and Leoni Kabel, reporting a net profit of HK$165.4 million.
In addition, in December 2025, the Company completed the acquisition of Dejinchang Investment Limited and its subsidiaries (“DJC Group”), which are principally engaged in the manufacturing and sale of copper wire products. As copper wire is an essential raw material for its cable products, securing copper supply across different countries enables the Group to establish a robust and resilient supply chain. This ensures business continuity, mitigates geographic and political risks, and allows greater control over the quality and specifications of this upstream raw material. During the Period, the DJC Group contributed substantial revenue and became one of the Group’s main sources of profit.
The Group’s capital base was also expanded during the Period. In February and May 2026, the Company completed two placings at prices of HK$15.22 and HK$21.00 per share, respectively, placing a total of 246,096,000 new shares, with total net proceeds of approximately HK$4,519.0 million. Beyond improving the current ratio and strengthening the balance sheet, the two placings will give the Group greater flexibility to pursue future capital market opportunities, acquisition activities, business development efforts and overseas expansion strategy.
Deepening penetration into the medical equipment sector to cultivate future growth engines
During the Period, revenue of the medical equipment sector increased by 19.0% YoY to HK$491.6 million. In April 2026, the Group completed an investment in a UK-based nationally recognised membership body for portfolio and sessional clinicians. The body operates a digital NHS workforce platform that is currently connecting 3,500 GP practices and a membership community of 7,500 clinicians. This investment gives the Company a clinician-trusted, NHS-connected platform and execution engine to accelerate entry into the UK NHS market, as well as provide decisive real-world evidence and shorten the procurement timelines for MedTech portfolio companies. The combined effect of adoption acceleration, procurement enablement, international scalability and board-level support serves as an extremely valuable financial and strategic driver across the Company’s healthcare portfolio.
Separately, finalist teams of the inaugural Hong Kong Medtech Innovation World Cup, jointly organised by the Medical Engineering and Innovation Council (“MEIC”) and the Group, presented their projects at the WT | Wearable Technologies Conference held at the Hong Kong Science Park in March 2026. By actively introducing global medtech talent and projects to the city, the Group is injecting momentum into the development of Hong Kong’s medical innovation ecosystem.
Actively seizing emerging growth opportunities and continuously consolidating industry leadership
During the Period, more than 50% of the Group’s revenue was AI-driven. As hyperscaler capex accelerates and networks become more fibre-intensive, the Group is well positioned to move up the value chain from MPO assemblies to higher-density solutions. Within the data centre fibre cable assemblies business, the Group is expanding its customer footprint to more global and domestic CSP customers beginning this year through its plants in the PRC, Vietnam, Mexico and Turkey. At the same time, it is broadening its product portfolio from scale-out to scale-up solutions, including super-complex fibre shuffle boxes and next-generation high-density fibre connectivity.
In addition, the acquisition of Leoni LCS Group has materially upgraded the quality of the Group’s business and added automotive expertise, which is crucial for the Group to build out its global automotive cable franchise with exposure to emerging 800V power architectures. The Group will broaden Leoni LCS Group’s product range, beginning with the 800V DC liquid-cooled power cable for high-current power delivery. Borrowing from EV architecture and applying it to AI data centres, the technology sharply cuts current, copper [usage] and heat loss. The collaboration between the Group and Leoni LCS Group can generate powerful synergies that will further consolidate and enhance the Group’s position in the wire and cable industry.
Mr. Simon Cua added, “Looking ahead, the Group will further develop the AI-related server and data centre businesses, advance its strategic layout in the medical equipment segment, and accelerate the expansion of its global footprint through its wholly owned subsidiary, Leoni LCS Group. In addition to the acquisition of Time Singapore, the Group will continue to actively explore strategic investment opportunities to achieve greater geographical diversification, mitigate business risks, and enhance its resilience in an unpredictable global landscape. The Group believes that the strategic alliance with Luxshare Precision Industry will enable the Group to benefit from development and synergies across telecommunication, data communication, healthcare, automotive, and industry, spanning products, customers, and marketing through integration of customer and market resources as well as technological and R&D capabilities of the Luxshare Group. With the support of Luxshare Precision Industry, the Group will create even greater opportunities in the future.”
